-=== Challenges & learning from the remote monitoring & analysis of refrigeration systems ===
-
-IOR, BSRA and ASHRAE UK Midlands Chapter organized this joint event: Energy usage is the greatest contributor to the total lifecycle cost of a refrigeration system, however, it is often overlooked due to the service provider treating it as a low priority or not knowing what action to take to improve on performance. A solution is to have the equipment continuously monitored remotely by specialist software which alerts the operator to poor performance. This talk provides an in-depth understanding of equipment behaviour and enables targeted maintenance activities to achieve the best energy efficiency.

-=== Energy Efficient Buildings and the Role of Building Information Modelling (BIM) ===
-
-ASHRAE UK Midlands Chapter and Energy Institute East Midlands welcome you to this joint event on how Building Information Modelling can help to narrow the ‘performance gap’ between predictions of building energy use and the reality in practice, given by Dr Painter of De Montfort University and Mr Alex Mitchell of Pick Everard. The speakers will explain how building designers use computer models to predict energy use, the typical sources of inaccuracy of some of these models and how BIM can help to remedy these.
